ROUND 2 - COVID 19 Grants Programme

Voice4Change England is pleased to announce a grants programme. This is for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) community groups and organisations, working to deliver COVID 19 services in England.

WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS - ROUND 2 CLOSED FRIDAY 4TH DECEMBER 2020

The Voice4Change England Covid-19 Partnership Fund

This fund is for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) community groups and organisations, working to deliver COVID-19 services in England.

This grants programme is designed to help tackle the disproportionate impact of COVID 19 on BAME communities.

The grants programme has three sections:

  1. Delivering COVID 19 services. Groups can apply for help with current costs, if their funding has been affected by the pandemic.
  2. Delivering mental health and well-being services, particularly to those who have been further impacted by COVID 19
  3. Delivering sports activities to tackle BAME inequalities and help with the impact of COVID 19 including well-being initiatives

This programme is open to all BAME led community groups and organisations, working primarily with BAME communities. In this context, BAME includes white minority communities other than white British e.g. Polish, Lithuanian etc., as well as communities that are Black, Asian, Chinese, African and Middle Eastern etc. Eligible groups must be not-for-profit, or with a clearly ethical main purpose.

The programme is designed for smaller BAME community group applications: from groups that have the greatest impact on their communities. This means that for any organisation with an annual income of over £200,000 to succeed, it would need to be an exceptional and extraordinary project. Newly started community groups are eligible to apply, particularly those that have been set up in response to the pandemic.

Our programme will provide community organisations with emergency funding to deal with emerging issues in the community, as a result of the continuing threat of coronavirus, and the need for self-isolation, and potential for further exacerbation of loneliness and isolation.

Grants between £5000 and £10,000 will be considered. We aim for the process to take between 10 and15 working days.

We will use the information you have provided to process your application for a grant from us and to administer any grant we award.

We may request evidence to confirm information given on this form, including obtaining information about you from other organisations to make sure the information is accurate; prevent or detect crime; and protect the funds we administer.

Awards will be given to projects that can clearly describe beneficiaries’ needs, how these has been affected by COVID 19, and what the applicant organisation can deliver to address these needs. Project descriptions will need to show how the organisation can deliver clear and measurable benefits.
